Northwestern Open Technical University (government license No. 1906, issued by the Federal Service for Education and Science on January 26, 2016) provides on-the-job training for specialists in bachelor's degree programs in various fields such as welding, construction, information technology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, metallurgy and transport.
The duration of training and retraining for foreign specialists at NWTU varies from 2 to 5.5 years, taking into account Preparatory courses of Russian Language.
All foreign students will complete internships (practical training, work and practies) in leading Russian companies such as the United Shipbuilding Corporation and Rosatom, Gazprom, metallurgical enterprises and major Сonstruction firms.
Educational and Production Complex NWTU LLC will conclude an employment contract with all foreign students (in their free time), in strict accordance with paragraph 7 of Article 13 of the Federal Law " Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation", dated July 25, 2002, No. 115-FZ.
We also assure that while student staying in Russia, we will assist him to find suitable accommodation, register and prolong the visa according to the Russian law, getting medical insurance and provide advice and information in various matters.

Training areas
The program is implemented on the basis of the Training and Production Center of enterprises of the United Shipbuilding Corporation in the following areas (specialties):
Shipbuilding:
- Electric and gas Welders
- Locksmiths
Construction and utilities:
- Universal installers
Program stages (Duration of the Program is 1-5 years)
Stage 1: Selection and preparation
• Testing of Russian language skills, checking qualifications and experience
• Language training (starts in the country of residence and continues in Russia): study of everyday and professional (industry-specific) Russian
Russian language training takes place on the basis of the Nevsky Institute of Language and Culture (license no. L035-00115-78/00097531)
Stage 2: Professional training
• Professional training according to Russian standards (1-3 months in Russia)
• Specialized courses: welding, locksmithing, installation of structures
• Official confirmation of the corresponding category in the specialty according to the standards of the Russian Federation
• Possibility of parallel training at the University (welding, mechanical engineering)
Training on the basis of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the North-Western Open Technical University (License No. 1906, issued by the Federal Service for Education and Science on January 26, 2016)
Stage 3: Practical training and work
• Full-time employment 1-3 months after arrival in the Russian Federation
• Paid production practice in a real production facility
• Working day 8-10 hours with continuing study of the Russian language (1 hour daily)
Financial conditions
Participation in the Program for the first year is paid.
The cost of participation in the Program (fully compensated at the end of the Program)
